Healthy halloween treat ideas
Halloween is just a couple of days away, and while many popular treats are less than healthy, that doesn’t always have to be the case. Today, we’re sharing some of our favorite healthy Halloween treats!
Roasted pumpkin seeds
Roasting the pumpkin seeds from your jack-o’-lantern makes a perfect healthy Halloween snack! To prepare them, rinse the seeds in water to make sure they’re clean, then dry them thoroughly and toss them in a little olive oil. Spread the seeds on a cooking tray, sprinkle them with any seasonings that you would like, and roast at 350° F for ten minutes or until golden brown.
Jack o’-lantern fruit cups
We shared these last year, but they’re too cute not to share again! All you need is some oranges and some berries. Cut the top off of each orange and scoop out the fruit. With a knife, carve jack-o’-lantern faces into the oranges and then fill with mixed berries for a fun Halloween fruit cup!
jack o’-lantern veggie cups
Fruit isn’t the only option for jack-o’-lantern cups. You can also make veggie cups! All you have to do is hollow out bell peppers and use a knife to carve jack-o’-lantern faces into them. Then just fill with the veggies of your choice and enjoy!
CANDY CORN PARFAIT
Making healthy Halloween treats doesn’t have to be difficult. You can layer clementine slices, pineapple, and Greek yogurt in glasses to make a cute and healthy candy corn parfait!
HALLOWEEN FRUIT KABOBS
Everyone likes fruit, and it’s easy to put a Halloween spin on it! All you have to do is alternate cantaloupe and blackberries to make black and orange fruit kabobs. You can also put a marshmallow or two on the kabobs and use black piping gel to make ghost faces!
